The house is situated on the Caribbean side of Tobago, in the village of Pleasant Prospect, between Grafton Beach and Mount Irvine Bay (5 and 10 minutes walk respectively). In the village, you will find a supermarket and three restaurants. You can rent an apartment for one to four people at our house, with one or two bedrooms, a bathroom and a spacious living room with kitchen area and a terrace facing the sea. The apartment is nicely furnished in Caribbean style. If you would like to spend an individual vacation away from the tourist areas but still want to be close to all amenities and be offered assistance and advice for your activities, and if you are looking for Caribbean dream beaches, want to be surrounded by beautiful nature, get to know the country and its inhabitants, or simply relax and enjoy - then the Villa Iguana is the right place for you!

We can organize island tours or trips to the bird island 'Little Tobago' for you if you like. We are working together with a car rental in the village and will be happy to book a car for you. There is a bike-rental in the village, which also offers mountain bike tours. Or discover Tobago's under-water world: there is a diving-school at Grafton beach (with PADI certificate). From Pigeon Point - one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean - you can take a glass-bottom boat to Buccoo Reef, where you can do wonderful snorkelling. During a rain-forest hike you can discover the unique flora and fauna of Tobago. From April to June, the big sea turtles lay their eggs at Back Bay, just below the house. And in the garden you can watch iguanas (who gave the house its name).
Entertainment
There is plenty of entertainment, too: Go and see the famous 'Sunday School' in Buccoo (steelband and disco) - or how about an African drumming concert or a BBQ on the beach? The Trinidad Carnival is world-famous - but in Tobago, too, the whole island is a big party for several days (and nights). The carnival procession in Scarborough with its 'masks' - decorated wagons with steel bands and spectacular costumes - is something you shouldn't miss!
Just one kilometre away, overlooking Mt. Irvine Bay, there is the Mount Irvine Golf Course, an 18-hole golf course which ranks among the top 50 of the world. It was designed by the late John D. Harris and is situated on the 50 hectare grounds of an old sugar plantation. In the 200 year old sugar mill, you find one of the best restaurants of the island. National and international tournaments take place at Mt. Irvine. In January, the Tobago Open & Pro Am championships are held, in which players of international reputation take part. But the club is open to guests as well - here you can play golf in a refined atmosphere on the beautiful green with palm trees and watercourses. We will be happy to assist you with your booking.

'The trip to Tobago was brilliant, it couldn't have been any better. The apartment is beautiful and you just have to feel at home. We had a great 4 weeks and the weather did its best for us. What an island! I hope this was not my last trip to Tobago, somehow I feel like going there again right away :-)' Michael Bühler, Stuttgart. 'We had the chance to get to know the Villa Iguana on Tobago last spring. It was so wonderful there, everything was perfect. Just great. In Gus we had a perfect host, who took care of everything. To put it short, we were and still are so enthusiastic about it that we want to go to Tobago again this January/February!' Jan Lehmann from Potsdam. ‘Our vacation on Tobago was very nice, everything as we had imagined it. The apartment is very nice, the view really wonderful!! We will certainly recommend it to other people.' Hanne-Lore Suck from Bad Bevensen.
