Cottage built in 2003 with most of the modern comforts (also in the winter) with a large lawn and garden. There is a large deck to the south with garden furniture and a barbeque. No smoking inside the house, please. A pet is welcome under certain circumstances. In a tranquil region with natural beauty and charm, yet only 8 minutes by car from the town of Södertälje and 30 min from the city of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Also guests without a car can reach the cottage; the nearest bus stop is 2 km away. Free Internet access with wireless LAN.

The cottage is built on a plot of 2200 m2 along a local road with hardly any traffic and behind the house there is a vast forest with several nice paths for walking. At 20 min walk or 2 km there is the great lake of Mälaren or the small lake Malmsjön, both of which are nice for swimming, fishing, windsurfing, etc. A 30 min drive will take you to nice beaches at the Baltic Sea. Stockholm is just 30 minutes drive away. Many shops and restaurants can be found in Södertälje, just 10 minutes drive away. The nearest busstop is 20 minutes walk away or 2 km. We live in Holland, but our family in Sweden will welcome our guests and be helpful.
Recreational activities nearby this holiday home/vacation rental : cycling, fishing, golf, horse riding, mountain biking, roller blading, sailing, ski, swimming, tennis, walking, wind-surfing, Sailing in the Stockholm archipelago and in the Mälaren lake is great experience.
Availability notes During the busy months of July and August, guest will normally come and leave on a Saturday, but for an additional fee other days are also possible. The rest of the year we are more flexible and any arrival or departure day is possible.

Sailing in the lake Mälaren and in the Stockholm archipelago is a great experience. There are hundreds of islands, most of which are not inhabited, waiting to be discovered for swimming, fishing and hiking. The guests can rent a sailing boat or a small motor boat for fishing.

Bicycles are available for rent. The price is 30 Euros per week and bicycle.
There are several good golf courses nearby, membership is mostly not required.

Ski information
In the forest behind the cottage there are nice paths for cross country skiing, but there are not any tall mountains near the cottage. There is a slope for downhill skiing at Flottsbro in Huddinge, which is nice for beginners.
