This is an area of outstanding natural beauty with numerous stunning sandy beaches set within pretty sheltered coves making it an ideal area for families. The pretty local harbour town of Cala Ratjada has a good selection of shops and fine restaurants serving a variety of food to suite all tastes. This is an ideal place to relax and unwind - enjoying a drink at a cafe and watch the boats sail by. The area is easily accessible with good road links from Palma. Manacor is the nearest major town and is home of the Mallorca pearl factory. Arta is also only 15 minutes drive away and boasts some spectacular caves which are well worth a visit. This area is well known to golfers, as it benefits from 4 excellent golf courses, in addition to this the area is also popular with cyclists and walkers who enjoy the excellent views and the peace and tranquillity this truly unspoilt area of Mallorca has to offer.

The villa has been newly furnished to a very high standard. Furnishings are modern, light and airy and ideal for families. Linen is provided. Towels are provided for use in the bathrooms. However please bring your own beach towels.
There are many attractions within a short drive of the villa. The caves at Arta are truly spectacular and well worth a visit. The near by towns of Capdepera and Cala Ratjada are also a must. Capdepera has retained a truly typical Spanish feel with old narrow streets and a stunning castle that can be seen for miles around. Cala Ratjada is more cosmopolitan and there are a good selection of shops, cafes, and restaurants. A walk around the harbour is very relaxing and you can sail from here on a glass bottomed boat to the near by towns of Cala Bona, Calla Millor or Port Cristo. The Saturday morning market in Cala Ratjada offers a good selection of local produce including fresh fruit and vegetables, leather and lace products.
Restaurants
There is a wide variety of local restaurants to cater for all tastes. Located within a 2 minute drive of the villa is Font-de-sa-Cala’s famous steak house, Bambu. The steaks here come highly recommended. The fish restaurants with their excellent reputation for serving fine fresh sea food can tempt. For a delicious light lunch why not try the Cafe Son Moll, again located close to Son Moll beach. This cafe serves a good variety of food from traditional tapas, baguettes, sandwiches, and salads. All the above have proved extremely friendly both for couples and families alike, however there are many restaurants and cafés that I’m sure you will find for yourselves.
Beaches
This area has 4 of the finest sandy beaches in the area. As the beaches are sheltered by coves, they are gently shelving making them ideal for young families. Most beaches have been awarded blue flag status for their cleanliness and facilities. There are also life guards and a safe to swim flag system operating. The beaches are clean and well cared for and excellent for snorkelling as the water is clear blue.
There are 4 first class golf courses located within 15 minutes drive of the villa. These are located at Canyamel and los Pinos, all of which are easily accessible.
