“Vale de El-Reizinho” means „The Valley of the small King”. We respect this noble title, through combining in perfect harmony the needs and expectations if our guests with the needs of the surrounding nature. It is a recreational region where you are welcome as a guest. Here you will feel at peace with yourself and with the world. The soft shapes of the surrounding nature can also be recognized in the architecture of the guest house. This place is ideal for relaxation and recreation, but also for different activities.

Basically, everything is organized for you. There are things that we would still want to add: on request, we can organize for you a breakfast buffet, with Muesli, fruit salad, fresh eggs, fresh orange juice, etc. Please contact us immediately. We gave up on purpose the usual means of communication, so that we can offer you a different type of relaxation. There is a 30 x 50 m large storage lake, where you can enjoy yourself bathing. Everything is simple and cheerful!
We tried to consistently respect the conditions of an ecological architecture, harmonize with nature, and create a mystifying and unifying atmosphere for your body and spirit. The respectful use of natural resources reflects itself upon the outdoor splendour. Local, natural materials have been integrated in the smooth architecture, so that a permanent connection between outdoors and indoors and between man-made dwelling and nature is established. Through shape, colour and structure, the house perfectly integrates into the natural surrounding. A perfect harmony has been created among the preservation of natural treasures, the present needs, and the future perspective.
Trips
The wood covered Monchique Mountains have a lot of mineral and hot springs. The 'Foja' Mountain (902 m) opens a wonderful view upon the West and South Coast of Portugal, up to Spain. The Western Algarve, with its charming towns: Lagos, Sagres and ‘the end of the world’, namely Cabo São Vicente, and with its golf courses and vibrant life is just about 1 hour by car. We would really like to recommend you Lisbon. The trip to Lisbon itself is wonderful, especially if you travel by train. Lisbon with its history, its architecture, its connection with the past and present will impress you. The Statue of Christ over Tejo, the Castle of São Jorge, the Convento do Carmo, the Rossio, and many others are worth seeing. You can also relax in Sintra, with its palaces and gardens, its ruins and lovely restored buildings. Take your time, walk through the Gardens of Monserrate, and wallow your eyes.
Festivals and markets
On each first Monday in month the ‘Mercado mensal’ takes place. That is an inciting experience and you can see and buy everything you need. F.A.C.E.C.O., which is the big, regional art, craft, music and culture festival invites you for a visit for 4 days in June. There are other patron saints’ holidays during the summer. You will have the chance to listen to local music (Baile) and to try the regional, traditional cuisine. The August-Event is the international Air Festival, the ‘Festival Sudoeste’ in Zambujeira do Mar, with international top groups.
