This apartment is located in a very typical area on one of Lisbon’s seven hills. The resplendent rooms are all with big windows facing Tagus River and São Jorge Castle. Across the road you find a typical Portuguese bakery, I recommend you to try Pão da Avó (Grandmother bread). Within five minutes walk you are in the castle; on the opposite side at the same distance, you get to various museums and monuments. You also cannot miss the exciting city tour, taking the famous tram No. 28, it stops 50 m from the apartment. All kind of shopping and important churches and museums are easily accessible by walk. If you decide to enjoy the apartment, you are invited to take a glass of Port wine in your check-in.

Lisbon’s Cathedral was built in 1147 on the site of a mosque by King Afonso Henriques in triumphant symbolism following the Moorish defeat. S. Vicent Church was built following the conquest of Lisbon in 1147. Miradouro Santa Luzia - Lisbon’s dazzling vistas are the most memorable images of the city and miradouro is one of most romantic. S. Jorge Castle is dominating Lisbon’s skyline. The dramatic castle stands where Lisbon first began. Miradouro da Graça provides more breathtaking views over Lisbon. Visit the Roman theatre museum: the Roman theatre, originally built in the first century BC by emperor Augustus was rebuilt in AD 57, during the time of Nero. The Graça-Alfama Castelo is unfolding like a medieval diorama beneath the mystical Castelo. The Alfama is Lisbon’s spiritual heart. It’s an old Moorish quarter where ribbons of alleyways coil into blind alleys; where crooked alcoves reveal timeless vistas and where old world rituals and costumes unfold like an old Pathé newsreel.

Dear Mr. Reis, thank you very much for our stay in your wonderful apartment, which contributed very much to our fantastic mini-vacation in Lisboa.
Even before our arrival there we were impressed by your helpful background and travel information.
In the apartment we especially liked the spectacular view at different times of the day (as the attached picture shows), as well as the tasteful interior, and the central location in a beautiful and exciting part of the city - we just loved to ride the No. 28 tram line! We also felt very well cared for by the friendliness and attention of Paula and her mother - and we enjoyed the fine bottle of Port Wine! We will be sure to highly recommend your apartment to our friends. Thank you very much again, and kind regards, Ulrike & Ulrich Nitschke-Zeutschel - May - 2007

Joao, thank you so much for our wonderful holiday in Lisbon. We loved the apartment; it was very comfortable and well appointed; and the view was spectacular. We particularly enjoyed staying in the Graça area and were regulars at Baga - Baga. Tram route 28 was also great fun and once we found out you can buy a day pass for all the transport in Lisbon in the shop next door to Baga - Baga (perhaps you might tell your guests this) we spent a lovely day on the trams and elevators. We had very good food in Lisbon and particularly enjoyed Tasca de Sé opposite the Sé Cathedral. Thank you once again; please also pass on our thanks to Paula and her mother for looking after us so well. The Lesters – England – August 2007
Dear Joao, this is to thank you for your lovely apartment in Graça Lisboa. We so enjoyed our holiday there. Lisbon is a beautiful city. It was lovely to have been met and welcomed by your wife who showed us round the place and explained how everything worked. Aug 2007
Dear Joao (and Paula too). We have just returned home from our trip to Portugal. We very much enjoyed our stay at your apartment, the kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable but of course the best thing is the view, sweeping from the castle to the river! Every day we observed tourists at the Miradouro ....it was fun. Most days we had a sunset drink at the Igrejia da Graca lookout or the cafe on the square. We liked the neighbourhood restaurants especially O Piteu and food shopping at a very nice little shop on the main street. We are missing our glass of port every day now that we are home! Paula we hope you did well in your examination and that we will meet again one day. Thank you. Margaret (and Tony too)17/03/08
