The holiday apartment is located in a lovingly renovated farmhouse (1824) at the edge of a forest in Wolimierz in southwest Poland right by the boarder to the Czech Republic in a gentle hilly country with lots of meadows and woods. From the village, you have a marvellous view of the Iser mountain range. In Swieradów (11 km), a spa and skiing place with spa rooms, cafés, and restaurants, shopping areas, indoor swimming pools, solariums, saunas, massages, and ski lifts, cultural events take place often. Szklarska Poreba (30 km) tempts with numerous ski lifts, a funicular to the peak of the mountain, several opportunities to go cross-country skiing and hiking in the national park “Karkonosce”, and museums. Karpacz offers a funicular to the peak, ski lifts and a summer toboggan run. Lesna Lake invites to go swimming, sailing, surfing, and boating, Czocha castle und Frydland to visit, and Jelenia Góra as well as Boleslawiec to go shopping. Wrozlaw and Prag tempt to visit on a day trip.
Wolimierz (Lesna community), a peaceful and tranquil village with spread out farm houses, is located in southwest Poland (45 minutes from Görlitz/Zgorzelec by car, 150 km from Dresden, Wroclaw and Prag), right by the border to the Czech Republic in a gentle hilly country with lots of meadows and woods. From the village, you have a marvellous view of the Iser mountain range, the southern part of the Riesengebirge (Karkonosce mountains), whose “protector,” mountain troll Rübenzahl, is still very present today.

Dogs, cats, goats, fruit and vegetables from organic cultivation (apples, pears, plums, nectarines, cherries, redcurrants, gooseberries, strawberries, raspberries, and rhubarb may be picked), Sell of crafts and handmade articles from Wolimierz, massages (classical, Shiatsu) in our house, sauna in the village. Guided sporting-possibilities are offered.
We offer recovery for body, mind, and soul. In our house, you may receive Shiatsu and foot-reflexology from Magda, speaking some German, by the cost of zl 80/ h. We also offer classical massages by Darek (English speaking): massage of body parts zl 35,-, massage of the whole body zl 70,-/hour. After massage you can use a sauna in the village, in the 'Red House', but this is not always possible. Our caretaker, Tadeusz, will be happy to arrange this for you if possible. You can receive cure treatments of all kinds in Swieradów Zdroj, well known through its radon springs. Indications for radon bathing are heart-, vascular-, and respiratory diseases, rheumatic, orthopaedic, gastrointestinal, and gynaecological illnesses. As well spruce- and mud-baths, massages, electrotherapy, ultrasound treatments, and physiotherapy are offered. You can book all treatments in the spa hotel.
Hint: In Poland, glasses and dentures are still quite affordable these days and the staff is very competent.
Sport
You don’t just want to loaf about during your vacation? You want to enjoy yourself while playing common ball games, do something for your fitness, and your figure, or learn a new sport? Our sports instructors Justina and Darek offer the organization of different sportive activities in the gym in Pobiedna, or, when the weather is good, on our estate: volleyball, basketball, table tennis, gymnastics, aerobic, callanetics for groups of 4 or 2 persons there is a charge of zl. 50,- per hour per group. Darek also gives classes in swimming, cross-country skiing, ice-skating.
Additional possibilities are fishing, badminton, rock climbing, bowling, fitness centre, soccer, canoeing, climbing, paragliding, biking, mountain biking, rafting, horseback riding, rowing, swimming, sailing, wind surfing, tennis, hiking within the reach of max. 15-20 min. by car.
Winter sports: skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, ice-skating. Or do you prefer comfort? How about a trip in a horse-drawn sleigh?
Artistic and ecological village Wolimierz
All around Viktor’s and Jemiolka’s street-theatre company, which runs a gallery, a pub, and rooms for events in the old train station (Stacia Wolimiez), musicians, craftsmen, and artists of all kinds, settled down in Wolimierz and the sourrounding areas. Cushions and bedspreads from patchwork are made, as well as clothing from natural materials, designed bedsteads and lamps, drums, art objects made of glass, ceramics, and wood, painting, and sculpture. The artists and studios are happy to welcome you! From time to time, concerts, festivals, and workshops (about theatre, ecology, Indian traditions, etc.) attract many people from all ages and liven up the whole village. Some younger families carry on ecological farming and sell their products. In the restaurant 'Alchemik' you can enjoy a good meal, original italian coffee and breakfast or have your barbecue party organized. Our neighbour offers horse riding (1 horse) as well as hay wagon tours in summer and horse-sledge tours in winter.
Skiing and snowboarding in Swieradòw Zdroj (11 km): 3 lifts (100 - 150m). Szklarska Poreba (29 km): better certainty of snow, snow cannons, 2 chair lifts, 5 ski tows to the top of Szrenica (1362 m), downhills of all degrees of difficulty up to a length of 4444 m, night-skiing. The prices for the ski-lifts are very reasonable. Cross-country ski: Jakuszyce (6 km from Szklarska Poreba) – cross-country ski-paradise in a winter-wonderland, motorized sleighs. Cross country skiing in untouched nature, tobogganing, and snowshoe-hiking also around Wolimierz! Ice-skating on ponds around the village, trips in horse-drawn sleighs. Ski-rental in Swieradòw and Szklarska Poreba, cross-country ski-rental in Jakuszyce, sleighs in the house.
