Cosy cottage in South Island
Our cosy holiday cottage is set in one of the most spectacular places in New Zealand – Golden Bay. It lies in a rural setting surrounded by lush green meadows, and can accommodate up to four guests. It takes only minutes to drive to beautiful and safe beaches, two world famous National Parks or to the amenities of our little town, Takaka. The cottage is built in timber and you could call it a small gem. It has a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms with comfortable beds, a dining-living room, a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. The big veranda with outdoor furniture invites you to read or to relax in the fresh air. The house is free-standing, surrounded by trees and bushes, and the view of the nearby mountain ranges is just superb.

Takaka is the heart of Golden Bay and is located between the two famous National Parks, the Abel Tasman and the Kahurangi. This region is much loved for its unique beaches and its spectacular nature, without forgetting the laid-back and alternative lifestyle of the locals. You can visit places like: Wharariki Beach, Pupu Springs, Wainui Falls, old goldfields, wineries, potteries, restaurants, cafes and even a movie theatre... where you find relaxation and entertainment. The world famous Heaphy and the Abel Tasman tracks, together with lots of smaller walks, offer plenty of tramping experiences for everybody. Farewell Spit is a unique place for ornithologists and casual birdwatchers. For those who just like to relax, there are the beaches with golden sands, crystal-clear waters or lush rain forest. Excellent regional wines or naturally brewed beers at the rustic Mussel Inn will spoil every gourmand.
