Further more you can make wonderful trips to nearby Knokke, Bruges, Antwerp, Ghent (Belgium) and enjoy the sights, museums, culture and last but not least: the superb Belgian cuisine. The ferry at Breskens will take you within 20 minutes to Walcheren with its medieval towns of Middelburg, Veere, Vlissingen and the beach resort Domburg.

The kitchen contains all appliances you might wish for, like for instance: toaster, electric kettle, Senseo coffee-machine, waffle maker etc. In the bathroom you will find a hair-dryer. Well maintained and charmingly furnished holiday home in (blue and white) beach-house-look. In the living-room a Vermont stove adds winterly comfort after a long walk at the beach or a biking tour along the dike-roads. Firewood is always in stock. In the gated, sunny garden one has a superb view of the surrounding nature and in the garden-shed you can find the barbeque and stall your bikes.
Directly from the house one can hike or bike along quiet roads to the town of Oostburg, to the beaches or through the nature. Close by you can find a trout-farm of course nothing tastes better than a freshly caught trout on the barbeque! The trout-farm 'Henricushoeve' has rental-bikes available. The fishing town of Breskens boasts a large Yacht-harbour near which you find several seafood-stalls and restaurants offering delicate North Sea fish. The medieval town of Sluis offers canals, plenty of restaurants and boutiques and the 2 Michelin Star (!) restaurants 'Oud Sluis' worth a pelgrimage! Damme is a historic village with lots of antique bookshops, here you can have delicious pastries and coffees at the cosy 'Tante Marie's'.
