The farmhouse, 250 year old, situated on the island of Gozo, is available for your vacation. It is completely renovated and the old style is remained under consideration of today’s comfort-needs. The big walls promise a cool temperature inside. The garden with pool is lovely and intimate. The garden is surrounded of typical Maltese stone-walls which protect you from foreign gazes.
Here it is - the original life on a small island in the Mediterranean Sea. Imagine life in the heart of a lovely village called Xaghra in close contact with the very friendly population of Gozo. In the morning or at early evening the fishers come through the places and you can acquire the catch - fresh fish very cheap. As well, it is typical for the island that cars with market-fresh vegetables of the farmers of the island, with fresh sheep-cheese or eggs drive constantly through the streets and places. Equally, several times a day the bakeries deliver the fresh and warm bread to your front door. And if you need something else, there are of course also supermarkets and all other shopping possibilities in Xaghra.

Three bedrooms are available with two single-beds. The rooms are furnished with antique and massive pine-wood furniture that were prepared by Gozo’s carpenters after old presentations. The master-bedroom, very big and spacious, and another smaller bedroom are located at the 1st floor with adjoining separated sun-terrace. These bedrooms share a shower room. At the 2nd Floor there is another bedroom with a shower room. At the ground floor, the living room, furnished in the Mediterranean style with fireplace, is available with TV (sat) and stereo. If it should be colder once, you can make it comfortable by using the fireplace (gas). From the living room, you reach the garden where you can enjoy your vacation on comfortable sun beds. The pool offers you cooling and refreshment. It is especially beautiful to sit with a glass of wine in the courtyard under the blooming Mediterranean plants during the evening.
The large kitchen is completely furnished with electric cooker, electric oven, big refrigerator, separate freezer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine etc. In the dining room, which is connected to the kitchen, you can eat comfortably at a big massive pine-wood-table. Here as well: The pieces of furniture represent Gozo’s life. The house will be cleaned once a week by Mary, our „Pearl“ at Gozo, who lives in the neighbourhood. On this occasion, she will change the sufficiently existing towels and the bed-linen. If you should have any questions or problems, Mary will be able to help you for sure. Your dream-vacation can start!
What you can do
Xaghra is just one of many lovely villages of Gozo. The island has many possibilities to go to. In Xaghra, you find the Gantijja Temples, a temple-installation, which is older than the pyramids of Cairo. You have the possibility to visit the cave of the Calypso. The story tells, Odysseus stayed there for a long time because of the beautiful woman Calypso. For children, the museum of toys is a must-have-seen. Furthermore, you can visit two caves and an old wind-mill. At the big place in front of the church, the residents meet to talk frequently. There is a number of different shops: supermarkets, butchers, mini markets (necessarily to go in to see how the people have shopped 100 years ago) hairdressers, pubs and restaurants - from which two are named in all guides!
