This is a large and beautiful holiday farmhouse set in a location to match. In the foothills of Mache’s northern Apennine range it offers tranquillity and beauty in equal measure. This old but well restored farmhouse is ideal for a large group of guests. The farmhouse has been divided in two spacious apartments which are opened up to make one private villa for 16 guests. A baby-cot and cleaning service can be provided. An extra service is the 'Chef-on-request' otherwise you can visit the nearby restaurant run by the owner. There is a private, landscaped lake within walking distance. Is has a large swimming pool measuring 6 by 14 m and a big garden of about 5000 m². The pool will be opened from 9th of May until 4th of October 2009.
At the higher end of town is a wonderful castle, originally built in the thirteenth century, given a facelift in the 1570s and now undergoing another restoration. It is open at weekends from June to September. Throughout the summer the town stages various events, including a polenta fete, a mushroom exhibition, a wine festival and a medieval pageant. Situated close to the borders with Tuscany, Umbria and Emilia-Romagna, Casatic is an ideal place from which to explore Marche and central Italy, with Perugia, Bologna, Florence, Assisi, Siena and Rome all day-trip possibilities. Yet there is also much to see and do closer to home. Just 20 miles away is the wonderful university town of Urbino, the birthplace of Raphael and the home of the Palazzo Ducale, an architectural masterpiece which houses Marche’s most important museum, the Galleria nazionale delle Marche.

The given prices get on for an allocation of 1-14 persons. All together can find accomodation up to 20 persons. Additional beds would be put in this case. From 15.-20. Person costs every additional bed per week to 25.00 EUR. In this additional rate are included beside the bed, the bedclothes as well as towels.
The country house is divided into two halves vertically, namely on the left side: Ground floor: Hall with open chimney, kitchen (and a. with 5-flame cooker with oven, fridge with deep cool box), a double room with shower-bath. Upper floor: 1 twin-bedded room and a double room, in each case with shower-bath. The property is close to the small town of Piobbico five kilometres away, famous in Italy for its Club dei Brutti which promotes the virtues of “ugliness over the slavery of beauty.” An hour to the north is San Marino, closer by is famous Urbino (about 30 km). Urbino remains one of the most important towns in the Marche - indeed in Italy - for the tourist in search of great Italian art and architecture and its beguiling streets well reward the curious traveller. Its centro storico now boasts the honour of being included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. The beautiful beaches of the Adriatic Coast are about half an hour’s drive.
The weekly prices contain all costs incl. bedclothes and towels, gas consumption, water consumption and power consumption. Domestic animals are permitted. The house is opened yearly from the beginning of the Easter holidays up to the end of the Christmas vacation.
