The apartment is on the ground floor of a palazzo condominiale. Because of its thick walls the apartment, which is not air-conditioned, remains pleasantly cool even on hot days. It also has a leafy garden terrace with seating, shielded from the outside, where you can while away hot summer days and, better still, enjoy the mild Roman evenings. The apartment itself has a generous living/dining room with TV and a double sofa bed, a bedroom, a kitchen with a fitted wall unit, washing machine, electric grill/oven as well as a cooker and a bathroom with a shower cabin. The living room and the kitchen each have an individual access to the terrace which is ideal if two couples are renting the apartment. The centrally-heated apartment has been lovingly and individually furnished and has many nice details. The owner lives next door and is happy to help guests if they have any queries or wishes.

The apartment is only a few steps away from the Villa Pamphili Park and the famous Gianicolo viewpoint, at the heart of one of Rome’s noblest and most sought-after suburbs: Monteverde vecchio. Nearby you will find everything to make your stay in Rome a pleasant memory: chic bars, pizzerias and restaurants as well as all kinds of shops. You can walk or catch the no. 44 bus (which stops in front of the apartment) to reach the Trastevere quarter, with its many small alleys and dining places (the Romans recommend this place for its good food). The same bus will take you in 15 minutes to Piazza Venezia and Rome’s historic centre (Via del Corso, the Spanish Steps, the Fountain of Trevi, Piazza Navona, Pantheon etc.). Ancient Rome with its fora and monuments is also close to Piazza Venezia. The Vatican (St. Peter’s, the Vatican Museums) can be reached by the same bus.
Availability notes You can check in and check out any day of the week. Check in after 15.00, check out before 10.00. If you arrive earlier than planned or your plane is delayed in the evening however, I promise to find somewhere for you to leave your luggage. The usual duration of stay is 1 week, although you can also stay on a day to day basis – minimum stay: 3 days.

The apartment is very well equipped, the beds and the sofa bed are new, good-quality spring slats and mattresses, the rest of the décor consists of period furniture together with antiques in very good condition, many lovely decorative elements, selected by the owner herself who lived here until recently, a good and well-equipped kitchen, kitchen wall unit, German coffee machine, an elegant bath with a spacious shower cabin, plus a hair dryer.
