I Catani comprises a beautiful Casa Colonica and a cottage with panoramic views over rolling hills on the border of Umbria and Tuscany. The main farmhouse, which is over 400 years old, has been painstakingly restored, and offers comfortable accommodation for 10-12 people, in over 3000 square feet over 2 floors. In addition to this, the charming cottage, positioned a few hundred feet away, provides accommodation for up to four more persons. I Catani is located on the north-western edge of Umbria, three hundred yards of the border with Tuscany and is well positioned for trips to the highlights of both provinces. It is also an excellent base for exploring Florence, Assisi, Gubbio, Spello, Siena, Todi. The station at approx. 30 km (Terontola) has trains to Perugia, Siena, Arezzo, Orvieto, Spoleto, Florence and Rome. Nearby there is also Lake Trasimeno, Italy's fourth largest lake. It offers a large range of water sport facilities.

These are the prices for both houses together. You always get both houses, so you can be sure to be alone at 'I Catani'.
Our person in charge (she lives only some kilometres away) speaks German, English and Italian. She takes care for towels, bed linens and enough dishes. If you stay two weeks or more, she will clean the houses on Saturdays and give you new bed linens. Additional cleaning and the services of cook are available by prior request. Available upon request at booking date: domestic help (cleaning, cooking), catering (Italian menu, biological food, Vegetarian menu etc.), babysitting (English/ German speaking), Italian teacher (full immersion basic or advanced / English speaking), available upon request: shiatzu treatment (English /German speaking), reiki treatment, prana healing treatment, individual basic yoga lessons, beautician courses. The main farmhouse
The main farmhouse (over 400 years old) has been painstakingly restored, and offers comfortable accommodation for 10-12 people, in over 3000 square feet over 2 floors. On the ground floor of the farmhouse is a well-equipped kitchen with a large table in the middle of the room for informal dining for 6 - 8. Next door, through an arch, is the dining room with seats for 8 - 10. The main living room, next to the dining room, is spacious with three French doors leading onto three different terraces. To the rear of the house and off the kitchen is a double bedroom and adjacent shower room joined by a small hallway with double French doors leading out to the back terrace. On the first floor of the farmhouse, there is a master bedroom with double doors to an en suite bathroom. In addition, there are three other double bedrooms. A third bathroom is shared by these three bedrooms. A secondary sitting room located on the first floor can be made up as a sixth bedroom if necessary.
The nearby cottage
The nearby cottage has a two further bedrooms (one twin and one with double waterbed), two shower rooms and a large split-level living room and kitchen. The property is well positioned with beautiful views.
