Water Mill - Mill next to the brook

The house, a mill built in the 17th century, is located in a valley of the Montalbano ridge, approximately 2 km from Vinci Leonardo's birthplace and about 40 km to the west from Florence. A few years ago the house built from natural stone was renovated thoroughly in Tuscan style with the terracotta floor tiles, ceilings made with wooden beams and window frames made of chestnut wood while at the same time keeping the character of the former mill. In front of the house flows a small brook in which crabs and other creatures live. The house is on a plot of about one hectare park with old trees (olive, chestnut, figs, laurel and others). You can barbecue in the garden and swim in the pool (size 11.5 m x 5.3 m x 1.2 m) from the middle of May tot the middle of September.

The Montalbano is a ridge in the northern, charming part of the Tuscany, between Florence and Pisa. Here you find the typical Tuscan landscape, gentle hills, silver grey olive orchards as far as the eye can see, separated by small chestnut woods and on top of every hill a group of old cypress trees. You are leasing the lower part of the house with separate entrance. The apartment consists of one bedroom, lounge with sleeper (all together 1 double and 2 single beds) large kitchen with open fireplace, fridge, sink, stove with fume extractor, passage, bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine (against charge). You are free to use satellite television and many games. Upon request a small annex is for rent, 2 persons additionally may stay in it. Please note: in this case only the bathroom in the main house is available.
