Molino dei Colori is the former seat of the family of a famous oil manufacturer on the Dolcedo river bank. This impressive mill has been rebuilt to form three generous apartments with independent entrances. From all windows and terraces you can view the romantic scenery of brightly-coloured house fronts and the picturesque river bed. Careful restoration was finished in April 2008. Now modern holiday conveniences are blended with the wonderful atmosphere of a historic building. The 16th century arches and crannies, metre-thick walls with bulges and niches, floors and gaps in the building immerse you in the past. The tasteful decor complements the outside of the building. However, the modern bathrooms are completely up-to-date. Each apartment has a private terrace or balcony with lounge, dining area and barbecue.
Dolcedo is well known for its beautifully preserved historic centre. The breathtaking view of the weir, Maltese bridge, and bright mill fronts and aristocratic houses have inspired many artists and invite passers-by to linger awhile. But you can enjoy all of this from your own terrace and from every window of your holiday home. Molino Colori is located in a side street right on the river-bank and within easy reach on foot of all holiday amenities such as restaurants (there’s one directly opposite), shops, buses, pharmacy, bank, cafe, riding stables, bike hire etc. Nevertheless you’ll be just 10 minutes by car away from the sandy beach or the winding streets of shops in Imperia or from mountain walks.
