Centuries old stone walls (plastered white inside), some of which are more than three feet thick, lend the rooms their special charm and individuality. The original niches still remain. The old storeroom on the ground floor has a beautiful crossed arch ceiling. It has been converted into a bedroom, a spacious bathroom, and an inviting entranceway with a granite stairway leading upstairs. The entire lower area has been uniformly tiled with black and white octagonal tiles and marble thresholds. An opening connects the living room and the kitchen-cum-living-room (which includes a south-facing balcony) on the upper floor. A second bedroom with a west-facing balcony is accessible via a hallway that has arched, wrought iron windows, and ornamental bars. Ligurian tiles in the kitchen and warm brown clinker brick tiles in the entire upper area (including the balcony) lend the rooms an air of coziness.
It lies approximately 5 minutes from the sea (with sandy beaches). There is a modern sports center and a supermarket located on the way to the beach, as well as convenience stores in town. The romantic house belongs to a bond of neighboring stone buildings which have also been restored. It is situated in the upper end of town, on a quiet southern slope with a view of the sea. It is surrounded by olive groves and a garden. The house is approximately 130 m above sea level.
