This is a simply stunning Cottage. Built in 1999 of local stone, it is beautiful both inside and out. The interior retains 'a country atmosphere' as it consists of white washed walls and extensive use of wood. The Cottage sleeps up to 10 people and is ideal for two families. Two of the bedrooms are en suite and there are three bathrooms in total. The kitchen is very large and is fully equipped with all conveniences. Our location is fabulous with total privacy on our 1 Hectare site plus you have access within 300 m to the sea for fishing. The views are wonderful with views to the Fastnet Lighthouse and of Toormore Bay from the house. There is a shop and Italian restaurant close by, with cosmopolitan Schull only 8 km away. Goleen is only 6 kms away. The house is fantastic for children with so much land, wildlife and beautiful safe Ballyrisode beach is only 2 km away, with its abundant supply of Rock pools for children to explore. A simply wonderful holiday is assured!
Reen Cottage is located between Schull & Goleen in an area of spectacular natural beauty.
We are 16 km from Mizen Head which is Ireland's most Southerly point and Europe's most westerly point. The next stop is USA! Water Sports, walking and Fishing are popular pastimes, with a selection of superb Sea Food restaurants. There are also 14 pubs within a 10 km radius of the Cottage. You can even walk 300 m to the sea from Reen Cottage and fish off the rocks! Reen Cottage retains a wonderful maritime atmosphere because of its beautiful views and proximity to the sea. Imagine catching your own fish behind Reen Cottage and then barbequing them on our private terrace!! Areas worth seeing locally are Barley Cove, Mizen Head, Crookhaven, Bantry, Schull, Goleen, Garnish Island, Cape Clear Island, Castletownbere, Sheeps Head and Ahakista. Further afield, Kinsale, Kenmare, Blarney Castle, Glandore are all within a 2 hour drive by car. What a wonderful place to holiday!

Each of Bedrooms 3 & 4 has a single and a set of Bunk Beds. For adults we would only recommend two adults per room for Bedrooms 3 & 4. All Bedrooms are equipped with mirrors and have lovely wooden floors.

Notes
Towels are available to rent at a nominal cost. This is a very comfortable Cottage and Air Conditioning is not required. During the summer the Cottage stays lovely and cool due to the Stone Work and during the winter the Stone Work retains the heat generated by the Fireplace and Central Heating.
A refundable security deposit of Euro 325 is payable 4 weeks prior to arrival. This will be refunded assuming that the Cottage is left is clean and good condition.
Electricity and Heating
Oil & Electricity is charged separately as follows:
1st October to 31st March each year at €75 per week. 1st April to 30th September each year at €50 per week
There are two Golf Clubs in the immediate area. Schull Golf Club is a 9-hole Golf Club and is only 8 km from Reen Cottage but is very hilly but also has fantastic views. Bantry Golf Club is excellent and is 26 km from Reen Cottage. Skibbereen Golf Club is 33 km away. All the famous Golf Clubs such as Killarney, Ballybunion etc. would be about 2/3 h drive away.
