Lynch Heights Holiday Cottage in Kerry

The holiday home is in a small, lively little town called Killorglin. It is the starting point for a journey around the Ring of Kerry, one of the most beautiful coastal journeys in Europe. Five minutes’ walk brings you to the centre with shops, a bank, post office, restaurants and lots of pubs. The home is beautifully situated, with a view of Killorglin on one side and on the other the panorama of McGillycuddy Reeks.

The beautiful sandy beach at Rossbeigh is only fifteen minutes by car. The countryside of Kerry has a raw beauty which will fascinate you. There are lots of lakes and rivers for fishing. There is climbing with every grade of difficulty. The bungalow is the ideal starting point for excursions and tours around the Ring of Kerry, the Iveragh Peninsula and the Ring of Beara. There are more than twenty golf courses in Kerry.

Killorglin sits pretty on the river Laune, which is famous for salmon/trout fishing. If fishing sounds too much like hard work, why not sample the mouth watering smoked salmon from the Fishery restaurant perched on the river Laune. Killorglin is home to Ireland's highest mountain, the McGillycuddy Reeks, so if you enjoy hiking, walking or mountain biking, then this is the place to go. Rossbeigh beach located only 8 miles from Killorglin is perfect for a refreshing swim if weather permits, or why not stroll along Rossbeigh's 7 miles of sandy beach. This is one beach definitely worth a visit even on the coldest day of the year. Killorglin is the gateway to the Ring of Kerry, which takes you along the scenic breath-taking Iveragh Peninsula. Why not stop off for a pint of Guiness in one of the many charming fishing villages and towns such as Caherciveen, Waterville, Sneem, Kenmare or Killarney. Killarney is only 12 miles from Killorglin and worth visiting.
