The Olive Farm - Newly renovated, traditional farmhouse, overlooking the sea, 5 acres
Secluded, 2 bedroom villa with air-conditioning and stunning views
Newly renovated self-catering villa surrounded by olive trees, set in the foothill of the Lapithas Mountains, overlooking the sea. This is a beautifully furnished traditional farmhouse, offering ideal rural holidays for families, romantic breaks or for nature lovers. The air-conditioned, open-plan sitting-room/ kitchen makes up fully half the house (a generous 100 m² in total) with 2 double bedrooms and bathroom (complete with bath and shower). The kitchen is equipped with electric fan oven, dishwasher and washing machine. A wide veranda runs the entire length of the house, giving plenty of sun as well as shade. The garden completely surrounds the house, and is fully maintained for you. The house is set in a working olive farm of 400 trees, with neighbouring olive-groves stretching for kilometres in either direction. We are approx. 1000 m from the village of Kato Samiko, 3000 m from the beach, and mountain walks start at the front door, with hundreds of km of forest tracks.

Decidedly un-touristy, the area around Kato Samiko is one of the best-kept secrets of the Peloponnesus. The beach is vast, stretching out over 100 km in an unbroken curve of golden sand, backed by sand dunes and pine forest, without any major developments or resorts-you can normally find your own private stretch of beach without difficulty. Ancient sites include Olympia (25 km), The Temple at Vassai (30 km), the hot springs and spa at Kaiafas (3 km), as well as a wealth of smaller archaeological sites including our own Acropolis, just 2 km away. Shop at local markets in Zacharo (12 km) or Krestena (8 km), or the city of Pyrgos (25 km). Mountain walks and superb cycling and mountain-biking routes abound, and island-hopping day-trips to Zakinthos or Kefalonia from Kylini (50 km) for those who wish to see more than just the Peloponnesus. Virtually all the main archaeological sites of Greece are reachable by car, with the new bridge across the Gulf of Corinth making even Delphi accessible.
