Your apartment is located in the newly built Filanthi apartment block. There is a great view over the Vrahos beach and the islands of Paxi and Andipaxi due to the elevated position of the apartment. There are rows of taverns, minimarkets and cafes along the beach which should provided everything you require. The owners, Spiro and his wife Filanthi speak German and also live in the building. They are in charge of cleaning for the whole complex and are happy to help you with any queries that you may have. Spiro will also be glad to sell you his own extra virgin olive oil, made naturally from his own olives. A beautifully kept complex in a central location on Vrahos beach.

Vrahos is located between the Igoumenitsa ferry port where all large Italian ferries berth and between the region capital Preveza which has an international airport. Vrahos beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the north of Greece and is still relatively from large groups of foreign tourists. There are still many traditions remaining here. During high season the beach is normally occupied by locals from surrounding area and in the off season there can be as little as 10 to 20 people on just under 2 miles of beach. The area is still free from loud discotheques, and you can sit quietly in the many fishing taverns and look forward to the beautiful sunset between the two islands of Paxi and Andipaxi.

Notes
Very well-kept furnishings. In Greece an apartment normally consists of one large room, not like in Spain for example with separated bedrooms. The block is open since 2006 and is very tastefully furnished.
Vrahos is located in a wonderful area. There are many small mountain towns located nearby beside the sea. Just under two miles away the mountains climb steeply and you can even see some snow on these in the early part of the year. The whole area is peppered with farmland and you can find cafes and taverns with very reasonably priced local dishes in all of the towns. Here in Greece the traditional lifestyle is preserved, the people are warm and friendly and the weather is fine and sunny.
Shopping
There are so called mini markets everywhere in the area, in which you can find all groceries and things you need for day to day living. In the shopping town of Kanallaki, 9 miles away, you can find large supermarkets and if you really have to go to LIDL, you can find one in Preveza, 21 miles away. You can link this with a stroll through the beautiful regional capital with its twinkling streets and the beautiful bay side promenade. There are a whole host of taverns and cafes here.
Culture
None of the famous tourist attractions that have made Greece so beloved are located around here. However despite this there is still plenty to visit. Countless churches and monasteries, ancient archaeological sites, beautiful bridges, caves etc, be enchanted by the small every day things, which make a holiday here in Vrahos simply unforgettable.
