The property has a unique personality. Estimated to being build 2 centuries ago by a rich landowner who at this place had the main store house for all agricultural products of his lands. Recently restored by sensitive architects who integrated in the building working elements of the past (like millstones for olives in the bathroom) wooden beams of old pressing oil factory on the doors etc. Thus giving a sense of history and tradition to the place. The fire place in winter months gives a warm feeling and the house is enjoyed the same although differently all year around. Ideal for artists, painters, sculptors and writers.

A place to really enjoy with friends or family .The area around Douliana is a -romantic landscape. You will find grapes, oranges, olives and vegetables here. 3 kilometres from the beach of Almirida or Kalives. Very much a traditional village keeping agriculture as a major activity as always has be .Several of the old houses have been restored and traditional farming around gives the note according to seasons. Near by at next village Vamos, a large medical centre, the court and the high school for the region, and several restaurants, snack bars and shops, largely serving the local community. Below the modern town square at the top of the hill, you will find the old Vamos. From your villa, within 25 minutes you are in the old Venetian port of the major city of western Crete -Chania. In the old city you are puzzled with pass centuries traces. Minoic-Roman-Venitian-Ottoman- influences are visible within the fortifications all around.
