Our historic tithe house was built during the 17th century. We restored it in 2003. Located in the middle of the village of Mörsdorf (about 730 residents) at an altitude of 350 m above sea level, it is part of the old Catholic clergyman’s residence right next to the church. The house (approximately 100 m2 living space) has a spacious living, dining and cooking area with a brick oven. It also has a guest WC on the ground floor, as well as double bedrooms with a bathtub or shower on the upper floor and in the attic. Historic basalt tiled patios are located both in front of and behind the house. There is a lawn with a 'beach' next to the organic swimming pond. (DTV-Classification: 4 stars)

The village of Mörsdorf is more than 900 years old. Coming from the Mosel, it is located on Hunsrück’s sparsely settled first mountain range (Rhein slate) at an altitude of 350 m above sea level. The village is bordered by three deep, thickly forested valleys with brooks, which are ideal for hiking. There are working farms on the heights in the direction of Kastellaun. The small road between Kastellaun (Hunsrück) and Treis-Karden (Mosel) has little traffic and does not pass through the town.

Notes to the rental rates: Rental price for 4 persons: €80.00 per day. Each additional person: € 15.00/day. Minimum-Rental: 3 days. One time only fee: Final cleaning and laundering of the linens: € 60.00, each additional person € 10 and dogs or other animal € 20. Arrival after 12:00 morning; Leaving before 4:00 noon. There are two additional beds in the house, with quilts and bedding. The house is completely equipped for self-catering. There is a bakery in the village, as well as two restaurants. Larger shopping trips can be carried out in Kastellaun (e.g. at ‘Plus,’ open Monday to Friday until 8:00 PM, Saturdays until 4:00 PM). There are restaurants within 15 minutes’ drive. The self-cleaning swimming pond that belongs the property has been planned in an ecological manner. A lawn is available; swimming is desired! Sufficient firewood for the oven is located about 8 m from the house in the old pigsty. The ground floor has tough tiles (cement / marble, traditional style) and the upper floor has larch wood floorboards. There are parking spots in front of the house; should you prefer an unhindered view, you may park your car on the other side of the property.
