The stylish apartment is located in a renovated old town house from 1716. First floor: the living room with a nice corner bench, sofa bed, cable-TV and a complete kitchen with dishwasher. Also the separate WC is there. On the second floor you can find two tasteful bedrooms (one double and one single) with some antique furniture and the modern bathroom. The double has now got a radio with USB and mp3 devices. The apartment has also a comfortable central heating. Our beautiful garden with a little pond, two terraces (sun or shadow) is situated by the 14th century city wall. This apartment is both calm and central. You can reach the famous market place and a number of nice restaurants within two minute´s walk. By the way: from June to August 2008 our professional theatre festival ensemble of the 'Kreuzgangspiele' plays Shakespeare ( 'As you like it' ) in the romanesque cloisters (in German!).

The historic town grown at the place of a medieval Benedictine monastery of the 8th century is located at the famous 'Romantic Road' between Rothenburg and Dinkelsbuehl on the border of Franconia and Swabia. Feuchtwangen is nearly the geographic centerpoint of southern Germany. From here you can visit a lot of scenic places such as Nuremberg, Wuerzburg, Ulm, Stuttgart, Noerdlingen, Heilbronn, Schwaebisch Hall. In about 2-3 hours distance the Autobahn A7 leads to Lake Constance or the famous castle of Neuschwanstein. The distance to the remains of the antique Roman Limes is about 20 kilometers. To Legoland Germany near Guenzburg you drive about 115 kilometers. From the nearby railway station Dombuehl ( leave your car there ) you have regular services to the central station Nuremberg (51 min). In the town centre of Feuchtwangen and also in the surrounding villages you will find a broad variety of good restaurants with Bavarian/ Franconian specialities or international cuisine.

The head part of the double bed is adjustable and in this room we have got wooden shutters outside if you want to darken the room. A Radio with USB- and memorycard-slot is also there. You´re invited to use the little wardrobe. The single room with its marvellous garden view has got its own wardrobe containing an iron plus ironing board. Perhaps you may use this room to store your luggage.

Enjoy your breakfast while the morning sun is shining on the terrace. Have a look at the old town wall and the romantic half-timbered houses nearby. We have got teak furniture in the garden and if you want to have flowers or some spices for cooking, you are invited to use them. For guests who don´t want to make their own breakfast we can recommend the 'Kreuzgang Café' at the market place: you sit inside the nice guest room and get a marvellous look over the romanic cloisters in the garden. That is also the place where our theatre festival takes place in the summer months (june to august).
We renovated this house (built in 1716 by Joh. Christoph Faulhaber, a local carpenter) and the entire apartment very thoroughly some years ago and we were glad to preserve some historic details, such as the original wooden ceilings, the floor covered with wonderful tiles or most of the old-fashioned doors. If you want, you may have a 'guided tour' to our family home: this is Vorderer Spitzenberg Nr. 23, built in 1554. All those houses are built with their backside onto the medieval town wall from about 1390. Our garden lies just outside the wall. You have a short walk of two minutes to the famous market place. Dehio (a standard description of historic monuments in southern Germany) calls it 'banquet hall of Franconia'. The town of Feuchtwangen has also a modern local casino nearby.
