La Vaccarése, 19th cent. house in St-Andre-de-Roquepertuis
La Vaccarèse is a very charming 19th century village house with lots of character, recently renovated to a very high standard and furnished with fine family furniture. The house has an extensive terrace with a private pool, stunning vaults (vestige from old times) a beautiful two hundred years old olive tree and a gorgeous bower where lunches can be taken 'Al Fresco', the whole being surrounded by old stones and ivy. The house is located in a small village lost in acres of vineyards, which makes it very quiet and perfect for a peaceful getaway.

La Vaccarése is situated in the 'Val de Céze' region crossroad of Povence, les Cévennes and l'Ardéche. Therefore, there is a huge range of activities to do. Like canoeing down the Ardéche or the Céze river, exploring lovely stone villages, biking through amazing lanscapes, walking through wonderfully scented 'guarrigues', visiting numerous greatly interesting sites like ' l'Aven d'orgnac ', or strolling on one of the many fruits, vegetables and ' a bit of everything ' markets (The best of the region could well be the one in Uzés on every Saturday). The region is also very well known for producing fantastic red wines (Cotes du Rhóne AOC) robust but yet very elegant. Most wine producers are very welcoming and always happy to organise a 'degustation'. The whole area is just the perfect destination for people wanting to enjoy sun, great food and wine and outdoors activities.
