This traditional stone Cotentin farmhouse, set in own safe grounds, was modernised to accommodate two families in four bedrooms (two doubles, children's room to sleep five/six and a small separate bunk/baby bedroom for two). Safe, sandy beach with dunes 1.5 km. Charming Fontenay 9 hole links golf course 3 km. Cherbourg and championship 36 hole Omaha Beach courses 30 minutes drive. House provides a full-sized dish-washer, washing machine/drier, a powerful shower with plentiful hot water, a new kitchen with large oven and new fridge incorporated into the sitting/dining room with large open fire-place for family cooking/eating. The dining table is to seat 10 people. It further has a separate sitting/reading room. On site parking is possible for three cars. Table tennis and basketball can be played in barn. BBQ provided. The house is particularly safe and convenient for toddlers/young children. There’s a garden enclosed with ample room for paddling pool and garden games.

Availability notes Preferred rental period is from Saturday to Saturday but other days/times possible. House can be made available from end October to beginning April with prior arrangement/discussion (house not centrally heated but effective individual heaters/radiators available to supplement open fireplace). Caretaker/cleaning lady ,who runs one of the two bars in the village just up the road, has keys and will both help you to settle in and handle any queries/problems. She will also ensure you have sheets and towels if you do not bring your own and collect all used ones on your departure. Local hardware/kitchen shop in Ste Mere Eglise are contracted to do any immediate repair work needed. Next door neighbours will also gladly help in any emergency.

9 hole links course just 3 kilometres on the coast - Fontenay sur Mer. Warm welcome, Uncrowded,. Good for beginners and more experienced players alike. Meals available at club. Reasonable green fees. 30/45 minutes away Omaha beach championship course - 27 holes. Dramatic setting. Restaurant. Cherbourg/La Glacerie - charming hilly course in the woods. Granville about 90 minutes away is a spectacular 18 hole links course looking towards Mt St Michel: impressive restaurant.
