Bréel is a small village in the heart of the Norman Switzerland, a very green, hilly landscape with wild streams, deep canyons and steep granite rocks. The environment is perfect for hiking or cycling on the trails, shadowed by thick hedges. Really nearby the house (500 m), at the shores of the Rouvre, where you can bath on warm days is the “house of the river” and in an old water mill the “house of the landscape”, where you can see beautiful nature exhibitions. Easy accessible by foot (3 km), rises 120 m above the Rouvre the famous “Roche d'Oëtre”, a rock with a human profile. In the surrounding (5 to 20 km) there is the Saint-Philbert and the picturesque “curve of the Orne”, Pont d’Ouilly with boat hiring or the rocks of Clécy, which you can climb. Day excursions lead to Falaise and to the castle of Wilhelm the Conquerer to Caen and to the sandy beaches of the “invasion” (50 km) or to a wonder of the world: le Mont-Saint-Michel (100 km).
