This is a beautiful apartment on the ground floor of a medieval castle. It has its own entrance and a garden with a shadowy dining place under the vine arbor. There is a parking place for 2 cars. The apartment is very suitable for a family with up to 4 children. The children's room is in the tower with access to the garden. There is a big children swimming pool. Next to the parents’ bedroom, there is a small room with 2 baby beds. In September, you can pick up grapes from your own garden. In the medieval village, there are narrow streets, without car traffic. There is a bathroom with a shower, a bathing tub and a WC. All the rooms are stylishly furnished with old furniture. There are no shops on location. The next shopping facilities (super market, market, Bureau de Tabac, bakery and post office) are within a distance of 2 km.

The castle is located upside from the village above the National Road No 106 the river Gardon. The apartment and its garden are enclosed by a quarry stone wall. Outside the castle there is a beautiful 11th century Roman Chapel and a big square tower of a slightly later date. Nearby there are other small villages. La Tour is located at the margins of the National Park of the Cévennen. From there, you can follow good hiking trails up into the mountains. The region is also suitable for mountain bikers. Oak and chestnut woods invite you for a walk. The tourism is not developed in this region, yet. But within a distance of 100 km, you can visit the most beautiful villages and cities in France. In 1 hour drive, you can reach the sea with long beaches. Alès is 7 km away. There you can find a train station, a big market and many shopping possibilities.

Notes to the rental rates: The rental rates are valid for 4 adults or 2 adults and 4 children. 2 children under 12 replace an adult. If 6 adults want to rent the apartment, then the 2 extra adults need to pay an extra 70 Euros per week, each. The maximum occupancy is 6 people. Included in the rental rates are: water, gas and firewood for the wood oven. From April until October, the electricity is included as well. In the rest of the months, the electricity will be charged extra with 0.20 Euros per KWh. Linen is not included in the price but can be ordered for 10 Euros per person, when you confirm the booking.
The renting time starts on Saturday at 16 p.m. and ends on Sunday at 10 a.m. The apartment should be left just the way it was found. The final cleaning of the apartment is not included in the price, but it can be given in the contract. The price for the final cleaning varies according to the length of the renting time.
Once you receive the booking confirmation, 25 % from the rental rate should be paid per check for deposit. The balance should be paid cash on the day of the arrival. There is also a security deposit which needs to be handed in on the day of the arrival.
Next to the parents’ bedroom, there is a small side room for 2 children, who in this way, can be well supervised by their parents. The bedroom for older children is in a tower with access to the garden. The children can enter the kitchen and the bathroom directly from the garden, without disturbing the parents. An extra sofa bed can be put at your disposal.

The bathroom is located in the tower and can be reached over 2 stairs. The kitchen has access to the garden. Pets can be allowed, on request. The swimming pool for swimmers is in the garden area of the owners, but it can be shared, on request. In the garden, there is a barbecue, and a dining place under the vine. The evenings offer a wonderful atmosphere thanks to the way the castle is illuminated.
