Mirabel is situated halfway between the towns of Nyons and Vaison la Romaine. There is a superb weekly market in each. Nyons is famous throughout France and beyond for its olives, olive oil and apricots. Vaison boasts impressive Roman remains. Within a few minutes drive, there is an excellent swimming and leisure complex, le Sagittaire. Any journey from Mirabel will take you through mile after mile of Cotes du Rhone vineyards. Tasting, discussion and, of course, sales are welcomed! The nearby river valleys and hills offer excellent cycle routes, ranging from easy (Villedieu, for example) to demanding (the Col d'Ey) to the well nigh impossible (Mont Ventoux)! Tours of the vinyards in the area can be arranged if required.

The bathroom includes an Italian-style open shower. There is a sofa-bed in the living room and a child's bed can be set up in the main bedroom if required. There is a table tennis table and bats. There is a child's high chair in the kitchen and a cot available if required. The wood burning stove in the salon is in full working order and can be used at times when the weather is cooler in the evenings, April and October for example.
