Situated on a small hill, and with typical provincial character, Nezignan L´Eveque dates back to the 11th century. With agriculture the main source of local income, the majority of the villagers are employed in the surrounding vineyards. The sun, the warm climate and the friendliness of the locals attract an increasing number of holidaymakers, although the village remains relatively tourist-free. Nezinan L'Eveque is situated about 13 km from the beach, and 3 km from Pezenas, the nearest town. In close proximity are the stunning towns of Bezier (15 km) and Montpellier (45 km). The beautiful surroundings of Nezignan make it an ideal location for long walks and cycling. The village contains a grocer's, a fantastic butcher, a bakery, newsagent and a delightful local bar. Fantastic wine can be purchased at extremely low prices from the local vineyards. Supermarkets and other shopping requirements can be found just down the road in Pezenas.

Notes
Since we use the house ourselves you will find that all furniture and utensils are of the best quality, and the house has a very cosy and personal touch. This can be seen throughout the house, especially the bedrooms, dining room and the garden, which was re-landscaped in 2004. An additional cost of 100 € is added for the cleaning of the house. Exchanging keys and returning keys will be done by a couple that lives in the village and they do the weekly cleaning of the pool.
