The nearest village is Villars sur Var (approx. 3 km). It is a cosy medieval village which is located high above the river. It has good shopping facillities and 2 restaurants. Another fascinating village in the neighbourhood is Touët sur Var, which appears to lie 'glued' to the mountain side approx. 5 km further up the river. Here you have a pizzeria and the restaurant 'Chez Paul'. Approx. 25 km further up the river, the village Entrevaux is located. The old part and the citadel lies protected behind drawbridges. This is an medieval village which really is worth visiting. This applies almost to all the small medieval villages scattered around the mountain tops in the area.

In Touët it is possible to play tennis. The drive through Gorges du Cians offers a fantastic eventful experience and in the just as imposing Gorges de Daluis, you have the possibility to see/do 'bungee jumping'.

The water in the swimming pool is coming directly from the spring. This means that there is no pump for circulation of the water and there is no added clorine. The gorgeous water of the Var river is inviting for swimmig, and you will see the fish leaping out of the water around you. Rafting equipment and a guide can be rented in the villages along the riverside.

If you want to play golf there is a new Golf course within 1/2 hour driving distance in Valberg. Or try the golf course in Isola 2000 which is with its highest point at 2,000 meters the highest positioned golf course in Europe. This 18 hole course of 5,065 metres was designed by Jean Garaialde, who knew how to make the course adaptable to all levels of players.
