La Besse is situated about 2 km from the little village of Romenay. There's a supermarket, petrol station, tobacco kiosk, bank, hair salons, bakers, butchers, doctor's surgery, chemist, antique shops and lots of restaurants. There are also 2 tennis courts and a bowling green nearby. On Friday mornings there's a market.

It's a lovely, well-maintained atmosphere, if you like bathing in the swimming pool (12 x 5.5 m) you are very welcome here. The main house is easy to reach on foot from the holiday house. We have 2 horses and 2 ponies available to you on request. If you like good food now and then we'll be happy to cook your chosen food for you on request.
