This new house was built in 2003 in the Georgian style typical of the historic, much visited city of Bath and it is situated only 1 mile level walk from the city centre and only 50 metres from frequent buses. It is at the end of the terrace overlooking an elegant railed square and has a private, walled garden at the back as well as a garage and private parking space. On the ground floor is a superbly equipped kitchen with large dining table, a WC and a TV room. The living room on the first floor overlooks the square in which you may play 'boules' and the large master bedroom with en suite is also located on this floor. On the 2nd floor are a large twin room, 2 single rooms and a bathroom. It was graded with 4 Stars by Tourist Board 2004.

The entire city has been designated a 'World Heritage City'. Almost all the buildings in the city are either original Georgian or Georgian style and are built in the golden local stone. Bath was the playground of the rich in the 18th century. There are many famous residents whose houses still stand including the writer Jane Austen. We have many museums, festivals and a German-style Christmas Market. Our fantastic new Spa is now open and we can bathe in the waters of the hot springs, as did the Romans.. People travel to Bath for the shops and restaurants alone. As Bath lies in a valley, the views are amazing and walking in the area is a pleasure. There are many small local shops only 100 m from the house. Due to the excellent rail connections, you can take a day trip to London, Oxford or to the south coast. The city of Bristol with its own attractions and airport is easily accessible. Our Christmas market is very popular.

What to seeThe city is small enough to see on foot and the Mayor's Guides offer free guided tours. We also have tour buses. I can even show you the city myself in a personal guided tour if you wish! The town is full of Georgian squares and terraces e. g. the Royal Crescent and tea in the Pump Rooms shouldn't be missed. One of the highlights of a visit to Bath has to be the extensive Roman Baths and our Museum of Costume is also not to be missed. We have lots of other museums including the Jane Austen Centre and the American Museum. The Abbey is impressive and the theatre's programme changes each week. You may take a boat trip on the River Avon. From the house the river is only 200m and Royal Victoria Park only 300m. Here is a huge children's playground, golf pitch and put and mini golf, tennis and the Botanical Gardens.
Language TuitionCombine your holiday with learning a language! I am a qualified and practising teacher of modern languages and can offer tuition in German, French and English as a foreign language. I have also taught English in Germany at a ‘Realschule’. Tuition for adults or children is £ 25 per hour.
BabysittingWe offer babysitting at £ 5 per hour plus taxi.
