Our holiday home is designed in the Nordic wooden style. We found our dream home on a slope on the attractive northern side of the Aabenraa fjord. We wish to gladly share this with our guests. Since the southern side of the house is paned, you have a fantastic view of the fjord below At the same time, there is a restful light in the modern-style furnished house. In spite of the peaceful location (cul-de-sac), the house is fenced. Altogether, there is place for 8 but the max. occupancy of 6 persons should not be exceeded. The house is equipped with all modern facilities. Full year rental and a dog is permitted. We have taken care, that only high-grade mattresses are provided to you in the bedrooms. We have 3 terraces with 2 barbecues on the southern side. You can use our furnace during the winters. Firewood can be bought at reasonable rates at the house. It is 200 m to the beach.

Our holiday home is located on the northern side of the Aabenraa fjord (Baltic Sea) on the Loejt peninsula. This area is earmarked by a hilly landscape with elevations up to 100 m. At a distance of 40 km from the shore. The house is 9 km east of Aabenraa in the attractive holiday resort of Skarrev. The surroundings are well suited for bicycle tours and hikes. It is recommendable to visit the islands of Kalvø or Barsø. A stroll in the further surroundings in Aabenraa is also recommended. Several shops are open even on Sundays. Recommendable for day picnics: Stroll around the town in Flensburg (50 km), visit Europe’s widest sand beach on Römö with ferry to Sylt (80 km), Danfoss Universe on Als Modern Technical Museum (possible to reach with ferry) (40 km), Legoland Billund (100 km) and Sommerland Syd (25 km). Ship cruises are organized from Haderslev in summer. Sonderburg, 40 km away, is also worth a trip.

Availability notes As a rule, the arrival and departure day is Saturday. It is possible to deviate from it during the off-season. It is possible in the lowest category of renting. With this, you can rent our house on a per day basis. Weekend renting is especially favored, but in this case the renting is determined to a min. 2 night stay at a rate of 55 € per night. It is also possible to meet the owner with another arrangement. It must be clarified from case to case.

Notes to the rental rates: Since we rent out privately we can offer you a far more reasonable price as compared to those who rent commercially. On an average we charge more than 100 € below the normal house rents. A satisfying service is our ultimate goal. The rent rates are divided into 5 categories. The calendar week is used as a basis. In order to perhaps give you a better idea, we give you the rates for the calendar weeks of different categories:
Cat. A: for € 590: Calendar week 28 + 29 + 30 + 31 + 32 + 33. Cat. B: for € 485: Calendar week 1 + 27 + 34
Cat. C: for € 400: Calendar week 25 + 26 + 35 + 36 + 52. Cat. D: for € 340: Calendar week 12 + 13 + 21 + 22 + 23 + 24 + 37 + 38 + 41 + 42 + 43. Cat. E: for € 260: Calendar week 2 11 + 14 20 + 39 + 40 + 44 51. There is no difference in the net rate between 2007 and 2008. It is possible to book on a per day basis only in categories D + E (min. 3 days). Special requests may be possible. Please inquire!
The following are customarily calculated as additional charges: Electricity consumption € 00.28 per KW,
Water consumption € 4.20 per m3 and wood for the furnace (lying next to the house) in Winter € 13.00 per week. The final cleaning costs are normally borne by the tenant. It can be arranged, that the owner undertakes the final cleaning for € 60. The house is checked after vacating. In case of damages, the house is cleaned at the owner's expense. The furnace is cleaned by the owner, as it is often still warm at the time of vacating (without charge). A cot or high chair can be provided free of cost upon request.
The following needs to be taken care of with a booking. In order to facilitate the transfer of funds for our German guests, we have a bank account in Germany. In this way you save additional costs. You book e.g. one week for 400 €. We levy a security deposit as a security against incidental charges and possible damages. This can vary depending on the renting period, the number of guests and whether a pet is brought along. The standard security deposit is 100 €. Altogether 500 € could be paid. If the period between the booking and start of holiday exceeds 1 month, then the rent of 2 months is due. Within 14 days of the booking, 25% of the rent and (€100) is due as a guarantee towards the booking. The remaining rent + the security deposit (€ 500) is due one month before the start of the holiday. In case of short-term bookings, the entire sum is due within 14 days. At the end of the holiday, the remaining security deposit will be transferred to your bank account within one week.
We can accommodate up to 8 persons in our house, but we rent it out to a maximum of 6 persons, as the facilities are designed accordingly. To some extent, we have invested in expensive beds/mattresses in order to pamper you a little. We have had guests with backaches, who were delighted with our beds. We have equipped two beds with lifting mechanism and special springs. Our bunk beds are 90/200 and 70/200 in size. The smaller bed is in our 'love nest' and is a favorite among children. At night an outside light can be switched on from the house or the nest. A sofa bed is provided in the parlour, which can be shared in case of need. We have a transportable cot, that can be set up in the bedroom (without charge). We of course provide you with a high chair as well. It is possible to enclose the roofed terrace for an infant. In this way, you have the child under control both in the house and on the terrace.

We have tried all ways to provide you an optimal holiday home. Since people who are living there permanently reside in the surrounding houses, a quiet location is ensured. The property is enclosed, thereby giving you peace of mind and ensuring that your children or dog stay within the premises. Naturally you are not disturbed by stray dogs as well. As the house can be rented all year round, there is a wood depot for the Winter. We charge 13 € per week for the wood consumption (unlimited quantity). We receive a lot of inquiry, especially in the off-season, from older guests who wish to relax for a couple of days. Even during long-term holidays, you need not forgo of the utilities you are accustomed to, like e.g. washing machine, tumble dryer and of course a small fridge-freezer. It is especially remunerated to those who rent for a long term or who come for fishing. The distance from the parking lot to the house is only 15 m.

In our region in southern Jutland, we have a lot that we wish to show our guests. Our house is brilliantly suited as a starting point. We have an Info-Book for numerous picnic options in the holiday home. The Legoland is not too far away for the children (100 km). Moreover, the Givskud zoo or Lintrup zoo can also be mentioned. Sommerland Syd is a game and amusement park in the summer. A visit to the Aabenraa Museum would be recommended on days of bad weather (entry free). In olden times, the area around Aabenraa was well known as a sailing-ship harbour. There is a lot to understand in the museum. The neighboring cities of Haderslev or Sønderborg are also not far away. The traditional Ringreiter festival is celebrated in the entire region in July.
