This area is ideal for winter sports! Just in a mile distance you will find a ski area for the whole family. Closely located to Svoboda nad Upou, there are famous ski areas such as Splinderluv Mlyn and Pec pod Snezkou and Janske Lazne! There are all kinds of modern ski lifts available to take you to the top of the mountains. Also you do not need to bring your own ski-equipment, for there are rental services all over the place! Also night skiing is possible, snowboarding etc. There is also a ski bus for free which takes you from Svoboda nad Upou to the skiing areas! In Mlade Buky (at a mile distance from Apartment Svoboda), there is a beautifully located Golf area. It is also possible to get training. Very nicely located on a mountaintop, it offers a marvellous view!

There are many nice restaurants available in Svovoba nad Upou! In Svoboda nad Upou (at about 350 yards) you will also find nice shops and there is also a supermarket for your groceries. At 7.5 miles lies Trutnov (a bigger city). Here you can do all kinds of shopping in the ancient city with historical buildings!
