We recommend sightseeing tours along the South shore following the Lighthouse Route with numerous lighthouses, countless white sand beaches and the romantic fishing villages nestled along the shores. Day trips to the nearby national park (Kejimkujik) and the Ross Farm Museum. At the Town of Lunenburg you should visit the Fisheries Museum and the world famous Bluenose II, sailing replica of the Bluenose. Don't miss a stroll through the lovely restored town and enjoy the maritime cuisine. The town of Mahone Bay is now the best-known and most picturesque in Atlantic Canada. The much-photographed Three Churches on the sweep of the bay and the old buildings perched on the water's edge along Main Street, now a colorful mixture of inns, restaurants, bakeries, antiques and craft shops. A sightseeing tour to Annapolis Valley with a never forgettable view over Minas Basin. The Bay of Fundy (highest tides of the world, 53 feet) is an event to experience. Whale watching you should never miss.
To explore Nova Scotia by plane
An exceptional adventure is to discover Nova Scotia together with a licensed Flight Instructor via float plane. See Nova Scotia from a perspective you have ever dreamed before. Or together in a group of 3 in a Cessna. The distance to the airport for Cessna approximately 8 miles and for the float plane approximately 25 miles away from your vacation home.
Indian Summer / Winter
Autumn with an explosion of coloured leaves is a special secret for Canada fans. The temperatures on the South shore are mild and until the end of September you can enjoy a swim in the lake. Intensive coloured leaves and the autumn light make for an enchanting unforgettable atmosphere.
Vacation Home Pheasant is also a convenient ' Family Getaway ' in wintertime. Pheasant is equipped with electric heaters, and each room has its own thermostat. The road is well prepared during the wintertime.
The South Shore offers a variety of Golf courses with spectacular locations. Some of them are on the coastline where the Greens are spotted with a splash of ocean blue. Golf courses at Bridgewater Chester, Liverpool, Lunenburg etc. offers the combination of a rustic clubhouse and a truly challenging layout for golfers of all abilities.
