Sir Knatten Cottage in Halifax
The 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom sea view cottage is situated on the Eastern Shore of Halifax, approx. 40 min. from downtown. The 1st floor has 2 bedrooms, one with a spectacular view over the Atlantic Ocean. There is also a bathroom with a tub and shower. Downstairs are kitchen, dining area, a wood stove, living room with a pull-out couch, bathroom with shower. The property is situated on a 2 acres wooded lot with its own water front at the Salmon River, which is actually a Bay of the Atlantic Ocean. Therefore you have seawater with high and low tide, mussels and occasional seal. There is also a sun deck at the waterfront. Swimming and canoeing are great and possible at high and low tide. Or simply relax and enjoy the nature and the sound of the water. The cottage is fully furnished with all the equipments you might need. It includes bedding, towels, a fully equipped kitchen. There is a deck with furniture and a hammock. There is a fire pit in front of the house where you can grill.

Grocery and liqueur store as well as a laundromat are approx.5 min by car.2 restaurants within walking distance.2 gorgeous sand beaches, Martinique Beach (7 miles of sand and dunes) Clam Harbiur Beachare 15min away by car. Lawrencetown Beach (30min) is great for surfing and when you go to Taylor Head Provincial Park (40min) you almost think you are in the Caribbean. Go hiking at Musquodoboit Harbour Trail (15.5 km long) or visit the Heritage Village, Fishermans Life Museum and Sherbrooke Village (18 th century) Head of Jeddore is the right place to discover all the beauty and sights of N.S. Also do not miss a sightseeing tour in the beautiful town Halifax, whale watching in Digby and make sure to visit the National Park Cape Breton on the Cabot Trail, one of the most spectacular scenic drives in the world.
